The malt beverages / flavored beers calling themselves cocktails is not a ready-to-drink category I tend to like. I will pretty much always pass those up in favor of a canned cocktail with an actual liquor listed on the label. However, I have come up with a solution because I really do love the flavor of these Simply Spiked xcriticals. Officially this one rings in at 5% ABV which is in line with light beer and hard seltzers. The lower booziness makes it a great day drinking option but for me, I would have a hard time drinking several of these in a row due to the sweetness. So much so that it’s almost hard to tell sometimes if you are buying the regular version or their new spiked version.

I’d write more but I’d just be repeating myself. I am a little concerned about the sugar content of these cans. But three of these matches your daily sugar allotment, and that seems like a treasure map to a hangover.

Either way, I came into this one a little full from dinner and still was able to put this down much more quickly than I would a typical beer.
